- Comb through any knots before styling.
- For thick or curly hair using a leave in conditioner balm or cream pre-blowdrying can help tame frizz and keep curls soft and smooth.
- Choose the right brush for the look you’re after.
- Divide your hair into small manageable sections, securing the strands with hair clips or grips.
- Start by placing the brush into the root area.
- Keep the tension as you move the brush through your hair, directing heat at the brush as you go.

- It can take time to develop the perfect technique, we know it can be hard work, practice makes perfect! There are also some great tutorials on YouTube.
To Clean:
- Remove any hair strands, then wet the brush with warm water. Ensure all dirt has been washed away.
- Lay your brushes on a towel and allow them to air dry.
- Don’t fully submerse your paddle brush into water.
- We recommend cleaning your brushes once a month or when needed.
Detangler
To Use:
- Separate your hair into manageable sections and work on one section at a time
- Detangle hair starting from the tip up to the root — not the other way around! This is the best way to avoid tugging at your strands which often leads to breakage. Just remember to be gentle and patient when faced with annoying tangles.
- The best way to detangle very knotted hair is in the shower with your hair saturated in slippery conditioner. After leaving it to absorb for a few minutes gently brush through each section with your detangler for easy, breezy, pain‐free detangling.
To Clean:
- Remove loose hair strands from teeth and rinse the brush with warm water. We recommend doing this once a week.
- Squeeze a drop of shampoo onto the brush and rinse well with warm water. Ensure all dirt, lint and product buildup have been washed away.
- Lay your brush on a towel and allow it to air dry.
